Privacy Policy
The short version
Your subtitle files never leave your device. All parsing, conversion, timing and repair on this site runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded, and nothing is stored after you close the tab.
What we do NOT collect
- Your subtitle files, their text, or their timings — processed locally, never transmitted.
- File names, file sizes or conversion history.
- Accounts, sign-ins, or any personal information you don't volunteer by email.
What IS collected (by third parties, on our behalf)
Like most websites, SubToolbox loads analytics and advertising scripts that gather standard, non-identifying usage data:
- Google Analytics 4 — anonymous usage events (which tools are opened, whether a conversion completed, generic counters). Tool inputs, file names and file contents are never sent. Google may set cookies; see Google's privacy policy.
- Microsoft Clarity — anonymised session insights (heat maps, scroll depth). Clarity masks all text input by design; your caption text cannot appear in recordings.
- Advertising — this site may display ads served by Google AdSense and/or Adsterra. Ad networks may use cookies to measure and (where allowed) personalise ads. You can control ad personalisation in Google Ad Settings or via your browser's cookie controls.
If you write to us, we use your address to reply and nothing else. Correspondence is kept only as long as needed to resolve your question.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date. Last updated: 25 September 2026.
